What is more, we are not talking about things as obvious as cosmetics. That is too easy, anyone would think of that! We believe, though, that the devil is in the detail, and the smallest, seemingly unimportant elements can dramatically change the experience! What are we talking about? Something you probably do not even pay attention to, just reaching for it without thinking! Soft, gentle bath sponges. Surprised? Hardly anyone realises what a huge difference a pleasant-to-touch sponge can make to a bath. Why do so many people forget about this? Because most of us throw all sponges into the same basket, believing they are no different from one another and mean nothing beyond cleaning the body. That is why we do not pay attention to it when shopping and toss the first one we see into the basket - and that is a serious mistake, at least if we care about the pleasure a bath can bring.

Bath sponges - how do they differ and how do they work?

Sponges are divided into synthetic and natural materials. Synthetics are much cheaper. It has to be said, though, that they crumble faster than their natural counterparts. More bacteria also settle on them. Natural ones, on the other hand, are remarkably soft, while also being strong and hard-wearing. In addition, far fewer bacteria build up on them. This is, however, reflected in the price - natural sponges are considerably more expensive than their synthetic counterparts. Whether it is worth it is something everyone has to decide for themselves.

Now that we know how sponges are divided, it is time to take a closer look at their uses, because just "cleaning the body" is definitely too broad a simplification. A sponge helps lather up the cosmetic properly, making cleansing easier and more pleasant. They also remove dead skin and are helpful for hard, dry skin, especially on the feet, elbows and knees. It is also worth mentioning that, by massaging the body, a sponge stimulates blood circulation, which not only brings a pleasant feeling but also better health. There are many benefits, and we do not always think about them, which does not change the fact that choosing a solid, higher-end product can gain you a lot.

There are, however, situations where a sponge is not the best idea. When should you avoid it? In the case of skin eruptions, it may turn out to be a bad idea. Similarly with wounds - a sponge should be avoided during a bath. You should also remember to replace your sponges regularly - especially synthetic ones.

How to sum all this up neatly? A sponge can become your favourite bath-time addition. It is worth trying something new, choosing the highest quality products. Thanks to this, even such unassuming extras as sponges will be able to pleasantly surprise you!
